As we expect a high standard of appearance all Downshire School pupils are required to wear the correct school uniform, something we hope they will do proudly. Families experiencing financial difficulty may be eligible for assistance from the NEELB.
For safety reasons pupils are not permitted to wear make up, dental jewellery or other jewellery worn as a result of body piercing or other procedures. Other jewellery wearing should be kept to the minimum as outlined in the school rules. The wearing of make-up, fake tan and nail varnish is not permitted.
Hair styling should not be extreme in shape or colour. Braiding, beading, dreadlocks and hair extensions are not permitted. Bleached hair is not permitted.
