Every child is given the opportunity to achieve success in communicating in the four skill areas of a foreign language: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Pupils will also extend their cultural horizons.
In the Modern Languages Department we celebrate learning throughout the year. Formal awards are distributed at Prize Evening for excellent achievement in both Junior and Senior School.
Pupil progress is tracked on 3 occasions during the academic year. Individual targets are set to meet each child’s ability in French.
Pupils in Year 9 have the opportunity to travel to Paris in June.
All Junior School pupils have access to Club Olé (our languages club which runs during Friday lunch time) and can enjoy our French Breakfast morning.
