Modern Languages

The Modern Languages Department at Downshire School has much to offer learners of French and Spanish.

Every child is given the opportunity to achieve success in communicating in the four skill areas of a foreign language: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Pupils will also extend their cultural horizons.

In the Modern Languages Department we celebrate learning throughout the year. Formal awards are distributed at Prize Evening for excellent achievement in both Junior and Senior School.
